WINE FARMS A number of award-winning wine farms border the country house, including the popular Fairview Wine Estate (with its goat cheese tower and cheese factory), Nederburg Wine Estate as well as KWV are close by. GOLF COURSES For the sportsman, a number of up-market golf courses are situated nearby, including Stellenbosch Country Club (often home to the SA Open),Boschenmeer and Pearl Valley, which contain internationally designed golf estates. ECO TOURISM For the eco-tourist, Animal Zone (which houses some unique species of animal) and Butterfly World, with over 10 000 species are 5 minutes away. RESTAURANTS Joie de Vivre offers a large variety of on-site eating areas, offering the traditional SA braai and its own spit braai.
